FARHOLLOW

A ROGUELIKE SPACE SIMULATOR

Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · effective 14 August 2026 · published by Alex Smith

The short version

Farhollow collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party components, and the game makes no network connections of any kind.

The developer receives no information about you from this app.

What the game stores

The game stores the character name you type and its save files, which hold your character, the generated galaxy and your progress in it.

These are written to Farhollow's own storage in the Application Support directory on your device. They exist so you can put the game down and pick it up again. Nothing else reads them.

Device backups

Farhollow's save files sit in a location Apple includes in iCloud Backup and in encrypted computer backups, if you have either turned on.

Copies of your saves may therefore exist in your own Apple backups. Those backups belong to you, sit under your Apple Account, and are governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer has no access to them and no way to reach them.

Deleting what the game stored

Delete a single character from the save list on the main menu, using the delete control beside it.

Deleting the app removes everything Farhollow stored on that device. Copies already inside your Apple backups persist according to your own backup settings until those backups are deleted or rotate out.

How long it is kept

Saves stay on your device until you delete them or delete the app. There is no server-side retention, because there is no server.

If you write to support

Email is the one point where you can hand over information, and only if you choose to. When you write to support@farhollow.app, that mailbox receives your address and whatever you put in the message.

It is used to answer you and to look into what you reported. It is never sold, shared or used for marketing. Messages are kept in the mailbox while they are useful as support history, then deleted.

Children

No data is collected from anyone using this app, children included.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the version and effective date change with it, and the current text is published at https://farhollow.app/privacy.
